I decided on a last minute overnight to Trieste and found a reservation for this place on The Fork. I must say, I found the staff and environment lovely! The appetizer (potato and asparagus flan) was superb and so unique. The bread offered meant I got to eat every last bite. I literally cleaned my plate. My main course was the duck breast with a brandy and orange sauce and while the duck was cooked to my preference, I found it lacking in the seasoning and sauce. I felt like I was searching for orange or brandy which made it all a little bland. As a side, I ordered grilled zucchini and while the grill was good, it was again lacking a bit of seasoning. I added a little olive oil and salt and it was delicious. Finally, not that I needed it, I ordered the molten lava chocolate cake. It was amazing but I had definitely ordered too much food and couldn’t finish it all. The wine selection is extensive and the team knew how to pair properly. I enjoyed my meal and would consider another dinner there!
